Monarch Tim's last meeting

Well, with a sad heart, we report that last night, 18 October 2007, was Monarch Tim's last meeting as our Monarch. He will be back in December for the installation of officers and wishes us well in the upcoming year. He thanked everyone for a great start to the Grotto here in Great Falls, and was honored to be the first Monarch in the reinstatement of Hassan.

Reminder that next month we will hold elections for hte upcoming year and the installation will be held at a yet to be determined date in December.

Rifle Raffle a success, and oh by the way the shirts look MARVELOUS!!!

The rifle raffle was a huge success! Kudos to prophet Thom for the idea and getting the AR-15 here. Also, prophet Gene came through yet again with two stunning case knife collections. We netted $853.00 and are well on our way to becoming a charitable contributer in Great Falls and the surrounding areas! Thanks to all who sold tickets!

Additionally, the 4th parade and Euclid BBQ was a great place to unveil the new Hassan shirts! I can tell you that we all look stunning and we quite noticeable in the parade. Prophet Pat Gordon came through with the Rhino to ferry our Monarch Tim through the parade. Thanks to the quick thinking of prophet Thom, Monarch Tim will soon be having an exclusive TV interview to portray the mission of the Grotto to the community!

Lastly, thanks to prophet Pat Gordon for the wonderful BBQ at his house. The view was outstanding as one could see the city fireworks, the baseball field fireworks and the whole of Great Falls! What a night!

1st Annual Cookout and Fundraiser

Hassan Grotto had their very 1st cookout and fund raiser. Many were on hand to celebrate a great start to this fine Grotto and join Monarch Tim in fellowship and great family fun. There was plenty of food and fun for the entire family and a VERY SPECIAL THANKS TO Prophet Gene Harrison, Chaplain, Hassan Grotto and his family for opening their home to this event.

The fun raising efforts raised $300 for Hassan to use in their charitable pursuits.

Special Olympics 2007 is on!

In Hassan Grotto's first major event since being reinstated on March 10th 2007, a great night of fellowship and giving was had by all. Hassan Grotto led by our "fastidious" well ok, gracious, Monarch Tim Ryan, volunteered their time to help make the Opening Ceremonies a memorable evening for this years athletes. "The joy and excitement seen on the faces of the Olympians was enough to ensure that we continue with this wonderful event and expand our participation in years to come," said Monarch Tim.

Northwest Grotto Association

Well, Our letter of intent was read at the Pre-Meeting to the NWGA Convention on April 28th. We will be voted into the Association at the convention in July. The interesting tid bit of information here is, if inducted into the NWGA, we weill have to host the convention in 5 years. Anyhow, more information will be forthcoming about the convention and we hope to have a great showing there.

NEED AS MANY VOLUNTEERS AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE!

Kids/family members are ok for the events if they want to help.

14 May 1830 Volunteer Meeting I will get location (need to get as many as we can there)

16 May 1700-2030 for opening cerimonies

18 May 0800-1200 Track and Field events

The moving is 17 May about 2130-0030 pack up 4 seasons and move it to GF High

3 Newest Prophets!

We initiated 3 new prophets in our first solo initiation. Monarch Tim Ryan presided over the initiation of Pat Gordon, Rob Davis and Fred Jackson.

That is a 10% increase in membership!

Brother Jesse's Service

Euclid Lodge would like to thank all that showed and for a great showing from the Brothers. This was truly an awe inspiring service showing how loved Jesse was in the community. The first floor lodge room was completely filled with barely any room left.

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that our fellow prophet and Past Worshipful Master of Euclid Lodge #58, Jesse Shaw, passed yesterday, 28 March at approximately 5:00 p.m.

Services will be Saturday, 31 March at 1:00 p.m. at the Lodge and we ask that all prophets able to, please make every effort to attend. Please keep his family in your hearts and prayers.
